In addition to being the most evil people in the NBA, the Heat like to give back to the community. That's why they held their annual Family Festival, the largest fundraiser for their charitable foundation, this weekend in Miami. It was a chance for fans to meet their heroes like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, and also do their best to avoid the team's terrible mascot and anthropomorphic ember Burnie.
Surya Fernandez of Hot Hot Hoops was on the scene and shot this wonderful video of the festivities. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you: That is LeBron James playing the drums, Mike Miller looking incredibly bored, and Pat Riley getting his groove on to a version of Bob Marley's "Jammin." It turns out that Riles is not only a love machine, but a wonderful dancer, as well.
So the next time you want to mock the Heat for being selfish, remember that they were willing to make fools of themselves in public for charity. Or, I don't know, maybe they thought they were acting really cool. Which they were, I suppose, since helping others is awesome.
