The tattoo trend, 15 years in, just isn't going away. From sorority girls to celebrity chefs to your team's designated hitter, people are just getting tat'ted up, incessantly. Even if it means putting John Elway on their thigh.

Or paying someone to tattoo Kobe Bryant, in an apparently contemplative mood, on your calf.

It's actually not a bad image. It's a good shot of Bryant, and unlike most tattoos we've seen of famous people, it actually very much resembles Kobe. But if you'll look at the original source of this image, and the Kobe's fan's, um, somewhat pasty calf canvas, it still boggles the mind. My mind, at least. Could you imagine growing up in a house with a father with a tattoo like that? With Kobe's eyes following you around the room? Judging you, wondering if you couldn't have done a better job on that book report? It'd be wearying.

But other than that, sure -- cool tattoo.
