The ‘New Jersey’ Nets unveil a giant billboard in Times Square

The Nets are coming, Brooklyn.

They're hopping that bridge, changing their name, and hoping to heck they can put together a winner in time to convince Deron Williams to stay with the team. Make all the jokes you want about displaced families, Ray-Bans and Pabst Blue Ribbon, or Travis Outlaw, but it's finally here.

The Nets are moving to Brooklyn. Maybe not this year, but definitely in 2012.

And to remind us all of the move? Why not drop an 80' by 60' billboard in Times Square? Sure, the Knicks just made the playoffs, but your time in the sun is fading, Manhattanites. Fear the whatever-their-name-is-going-to-be.
